An original design hand-sketched by our founder, brought to life by Javanese artisans in the Batik Tulis tradition.
Wearable art rooted in Indonesian heritage — this is Batik Tulis, the most prized form of batik, where every line is drawn by hand using a canting tool. A craft with 700 years of history, and no two pieces are ever the same.
This design tells two stories in one piece: hibiscus flowers drawn from our founder's childhood walks to school in Indonesia, and California poppies representing her new home — separated by the diagonal split of traditional Pagi Sore (Dusk-Dawn) batik, where each half of the bandana tells a different story depending on how you wear it.
* Technique: Batik Tulis — fully hand-drawn with a canting tool, not stamped or printed
* Pattern: Pagi Sore — Hibiscus & California Poppy
* Material: 100% ultra-soft cotton
* Size: 19.7" × 20.5"
* Authentic Batik: Pattern shows equally on both sides (the real test of genuine batik)
* Color Care: As with all hand-dyed batik, colors may bleed — always wash separately in cold water
* Wear it as: hair wrap, neck scarf, headband, or face cover — or on your dog 🐶
Each piece is hand-drawn, sun-baked, and pre-washed in Java — slight color variation isn't a flaw, it's the fingerprint of the artisan who made yours.
